Let us show you the beauty of Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos
Formerly known as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City is the country's foremost economic and industrial hub.
The action is frenetic here with the apparently chaotic traffic, bustling markets and shops, busy restaurants and cafes, and a seemingly endless amount of boats navigating the Saigon River and nearby Mekong Delta. This city, the largest in Vietnam, is constantly changing with growth in all areas, yet it retains much of its centuries old culture and traditions. You will find numerous pagodas and temples, out of which waft the exquisite aromas of burning incense. Local artists, dressmakers and fishermen work feverishly, all the while watched over by the recently erected office buildings of big business.
Ho Chi Minh City features an abundance of restaurants, cafes and hotels, and there are many sites to see for visitors. The Reunification Palace and Historical Museum are very central and easily accessible, while the Ben Thanh Market has a good choice of clothing and souvenirs, as well as selection of food that is without peer.
The area of Cholon (Chinatown) is worth visiting for the various temples, and the War Remnants Museum recalls the years of fighting that burdened the country.
Further afield the Cu Chi Tunnels offer a sobering experience, while seeing the Cao Dai Great Temple during prayers is a truly unique experience.
