China beach is ranked amongst the worlds most luxurious and stunningly beautiful beaches. Once used by the american as a rest and relaxation during the war, China beach is known locally as My Khe Beach. China beach is a great base for touring the nearby marble mountains. Beginning just south of Monkey Mountain and Danang lies the famed China Beach. 30 kilometres long, this beach stretches almost all the way down to Hoi An, and is probably the most unspoiled beach on the mainland. The beach itself has many sections, My Khe is the most well known of, these, thanks to its proximity to Danang, but heading south to the beaches of My An and Non Nuoc shows an increasing amount of new resorts and hotels being built. Surfing is particularly good from Sept. through Dec., although the entire area does have some strong currents, and the Marble Mountains situated roughly half way between Hoi An and Danang are also a very popular stop for visitors.
