Take a scenic elephant ride along the Nam Khan River to the beautiful Tad Sea Waterfalls. Assist in bathing the elephants and even take a swim with them.

DAY 1 : Luang Prabang - Lao Spirit Resort
Depart Luang Prabang at approximately 11.30am and transfer by road to Lao Spirit resort, located in the countryside near the Nam Khan River approximately 15 kilometres from Luang Prabang town.

On arrival check-in to your comfortable bungalow, and after taking some time to unpack and freshen up enjoy lunch in the Resort's restaurant.

After lunch head to the nearby Elephant Camp, where you will be introduced to the protected Asian Elephants and then depart for a scenic elephant ride. Enjoy the new perspective and the wonderful nature on this 1 to 1.5 hour ride through forests, teak plantations, rice paddies and along the Nam Khan River. The elephant ride finishes at the beautiful Tad Sae waterfalls, where clear waters cascade over multi-level limestone formations. There will be time to relax or take a dip in the refreshing cascades. A short boat trip will bring you back to the Elephant Camp late in the afternoon. Dinner and accommodation is included at the Lao Spirit Resort.

DAY 2 : Lao Spirit Resort - Luang Prabang

Breakfast is included at the Resort. This morning there is some time available to relax and appreciate the beautiful surroundings. There is the option to watch or assist the mahouts bathing the elephants in the river, or even take a swim with them if you like! Late morning transfer back to Luang Prabang town by road, to either hotel or the airport, arriving at approximately 12 noon.

Clients may have to accept waiting times as we are cooperating with animals, not machines. Delays may happen on any of the elephant trails (for example during rain, high water, muddy trails, elephants' walking speed, etc). While all care will be taken the elephant ride is undertaken at the client?s own risk, and no responsibility or liability will be accepted by Destination Asia, Lao Spirit Resort, our local partners, local guides or the Elephant Camp. No refunds will apply if the elephant ride is cancelled for any reason (sickness, bad weather, etc).
